Shearling Lined Buckle Strap Platform Boots: Made for Cold Cities
The Shearling Lined Buckle Strap Platform Boot is a fall boot designed by David Assil for Madison Maison, the Beverly Hills specialty store: a mid calf leather boot handmade in Italy with a red shearling lining, two buckle straps, an inside zipper and a chunky platform lug sole with a tread made for walking real cities. It comes in navy and in black, $695, in sizes 36 to 41, in store at 9630 Brighton Way and online.
This boot is an updated version of something I designed back in 2020. It did phenomenally well. I am reintroducing it, but with more of a Madison Maison touch.
I feel like I took something we did phenomenally well with and upgraded it. I always feel positive when that happens. I feel like I am on the right road.
The Red Shearling Inside
They are handmade in Italy. The leather is super soft. It has that red shearling inside, which I love.
No matter where you live, cold city, whatever winter, women always have cold feet. Do not ask me why. Women are always more cold than men are. It is just the way it is. And women just love having a shearling lining on the inside. It makes it more comfortable, less friction on the feet rubbing against the leather, and it keeps you warm.
Made for Cold Cities
You can travel anywhere. You go to Moscow with this boot in severe weather. New York City. Paris.
The Bottom
And the bottom. I love the bottom. It is a little bit chunkier than the other bottom I did. I think it is a cooler bottom as well, with the definition on the sole, the little details. I love the tread on the bottom. I think it is actually even better.
It looks heavy, but it is not. It is lightweight. I looked at fifteen different soles before we picked this one, because of the look of the sole, the weight of the sole and the shape it gives the shoe. We put a lot into it. I think we are going to get a lot out of it.
Same Factory, Second Generation
This is made in a second generation Italian factory. I love working with them. I have worked with them in the past. They made tennis shoes for me, and now they are making these boots for me. They made the first version of this boot, and the manufacturing is the same, in the same factory.
Navy and Black

What colors do the shearling lined buckle strap platform boots come in?
Navy and black. Both carry the red shearling lining inside.
Are they warm?
That is the point of them. The shearling lining keeps your feet warm and cuts the friction between your foot and the leather, so they stay comfortable in a cold city.
Are they heavy?
They look heavy. They are not. The boot is lightweight, and the sole was chosen out of fifteen for its look, its weight and the shape it gives the shoe.
Where are they made?
Handmade in Italy by a second generation family factory David has worked with for years, the same hands that made the first version of this boot.

They actually made the first palladium boot to the the manufacturing of this boot is same as as this. Boot in the same factory the only change i'm making here i want to see if the kind of the darker metal. Looked good but i'm going to change it back to the the gold i just think it's a little bit richer so. That's the only change that i'm going to be making on this one you're going to take the gold and put it. Here instead of this darker um pewter or whatever you want to call that so super excited about these. They're coming in black and navy then i also did redid this boot this is also was an old palladium. Boot that i designed for them and then i'd taken it and put it in the same mold as this boot here. You can see the detailing same on the sole the bottom is the same all the metal work inside leather. Lined and it looks heavy but it's not it's lightweight i looked at like 15 different soles. Before we picked this one because of the look of the sole the weight of the sole and the shape. That it's going to give the shoe so we put a lot into it i think we're going to get a lot out of it.
